The rent is too high. My roommate owns and I rent from her and even still the property taxes are going up up up. My neighbors and community are getting pushed out. Last night my pregnant friend who works full time and goes to school while driving for door dash, slept in her car at a truck stop cause she can’t afford a home. Another friend of mine, with a six month old is staying in an abusive relationship so she can have a place to stay. These people are my support system. How are we supposed to support each other when we can barely support ourselves? We need social housing.
