Rent protection is needed NOW! I am currently being priced out of my apartment because my landlord has increased the rent about 10% every year. I am not alone, people all over the country are being overcharged while also being hit over the head with inflation without wage increases to match. The rates of unhoused people are increasing drastically and the government NEEDS to step in NOW to combat this. We need affordable housing. We need tenant protections. We need national rent control. We need universal basic income. We need it now.
