I provide mental health support for many low and middle income people who rent. These are hard working folks who are valuable to our local community and could not survive a rate hike. Many also suffer with negligent landlords who do not show up to fix often severe structural problems in their tenant's rentals. I've also witnessed people becoming homeless because their rental home was sold and they did not have adequate time to find another home. Or tenants evicted for many other unfair reasons. TENANTS NEED FEDERAL PROTECTIONS NOW! Thank you for your consideration.
