My sister is disabled and unable to walk or work. Her current landlord just went up on her rent and she cannot find housing that is ADA compliant and affordable on the first floor. I am forced to financial support my sister every month to help her cover her living and medical expenses. She deserves a home that she can afford on her limited income and that is accessible to her instead of hoping to be moved up a 3-9 month waiting list. She also deserves safe housing that is properly maintained without the threat of displacement.
