Active students who are not tenants of student housing, but rent off campus, need greater protection. A landlord refused to extend a month-to-month lease for one month between the time this student graduated from graduate school until her accounting job starts in Boston. This young lady, without family, had to spend the night in a dangerous daily rental until I heard of her situation and rescued her to live with me.
