My name is Emily Jackson. I live in Lexington, KY. I pay $1,000 in rent. I work full-time. I can only afford basic necessities because my rent takes up most of my first check. My place is really old and needs repairs. If my rent was more affordable I would be able to spend more time with my friends and family. I would be able to afford more groceries and not be stressed that I’ll have enough for the week. I would feel so much less stress if I wasn’t living paycheck to paycheck because of my rent. Tenants like me need the FHFA to stop rent hikes.
