    Thank you for the opportunity to comment. I hope that the FHFA will include tenant protections in its conditions for the provision of federal loans and financing. These regulations should include fair, standardized leases, protections from egregious rent increases, health and safety standards, protections from unfair eviction, and anti-discrimination policies. There should also be a landlord registry where tenants can access information about their landlord's compliance & violation history. Tenants should have a right to organize tenant associations without fear of retaliation. There should be an Office of Tenant Protections enforcing policies for property owners with federally backed mortgages.
