    I am asking at this time that you consider the needs of people who need housing over the desires of landlords. I am a 42 year old, full time state employee of more than 10 years, and my income is considered too high for low income housing. I'm recently divorced, and renting a room in a dilapidated house from relatives I can barely stand because I can't find housing I can afford. Most of my friends can't afford to own their own home, and are stuck renting poor quality, too small places for their families to live. This is an absurd state of affairs in what is supposed to be a first world country. We deserve better than this.
