Any help from the government given to landlords is ultimately killing this country. Not only do they squeeze their renters for everything they have, but they also take houses off the market that the middle class could own.

Here are some lending protections we desperately need:
    - Disallow home loans to multiple home owners; Rentals should be multiunit buildings located near downtown areas
    - Disallow rent hikes beyond an increase
    - Disallow rental property owners and managers from being located outside of the rental building's county
    - Disallow rent higher than one third of the poverty level income for studio apartments; New buildings should have studio reqs

These are just some ideas. I hope you use a science based strategy that works for everyone. Right now though I can say that it is really bad - and I'm an municipal engineer that is paid a good wage!
