I understand that the federal government is deciding whether to require landlords who get federal money to agree to tenant protections like limiting rent hikes, banning evictions without good cause, and standardizing leases in over 12 million apartment units nationwide. I agree with these proposed tenant protections, especially good cause eviction measures. They are a critical step toward holding corporate landlords accountable.
