My name is Julian I have been renting in Reno for about 4 years as of now, and it truly has been a difficult and terrible experience. I have been lied too, wrongly evicted, and even homeless all in the process of paying rent and/or trying to find somewhere to live. Things must come to an end when it comes to gentrification in Reno and the price of rent. Rent is higher in Reno than Las Vegas and the buildings/areas are no where near as nice as well as maintenance and we even suffer from infestations. The federal Housing finance agency should protect tenants by limiting annual rent hikes to 1.5 times the consumer price index.
