    My name is Asha and I am a tenant in New York City and I am a member of YAH and the Homes Guarantee. The FHFA needs to take action to protect tenants across the country. In no state in the country can people employed at the federal minimum wage afford to rent a 2 bedroom apartment yet at the same time we continue to see rent increases climb dramatically. We are asking that you help protect tenants by creating a 3 percent cap on rent increases, ban source of income discrimination, mandate good cause eviction and require safe and accessible housing conditions on all properties with federally backed mortgages.
