I am a tenant in Reno, Nevada. In the 8 years that I have been a renter here, rents have skyrocketed and wages have not kept pace. Our state laws make it very difficult for tenants to resist eviction, even if their landlord does not have a good reason. We need the FHFA to protect tenants by limiting rent increases, protecting tenants from unjust evictions, and strengthening protections for tenants from discrimination and unsafe conditions.
