    My name is Rosa and I am a tenant living in Reno, NV. I am a member of the Homes Guarantee Campaign. Since moving to Reno, I have encountered the most expensive rent that I have ever had to pay in order to have housing. It has become clear through conversations with others I have met here that landlords are exorbitantly raising rents since there is no regulation.
    The Federal Housing Finance Agency should protect tenants by limiting annual rent hikes to 1.5 times the Consumer Price Index or 3%, whichever is lower, in properties with federally backed mortgages. These limits should be applied universally as a requirement to all federally backed mortgage programs.
    Additionally, FHFA should prohibit evictions without good cause in order to further protect tenants.
