We NEED rent control protection in Kansas city Missouri!!! The influx of rent increase has been at its worst the past 4 years in my opinion. Landlords and slumlords are raising our rents a ridiculous amount, im my personal experience we've been hit with 33%- 56% increases over a single leasing year whether it's due to change of ownership( no they did NOT upgrade/fix or do anything to justify such a price/ not that it's an excuse anyway) or flat out greed. We need protection. Why can't I afford to live in an area I grew up at 23 when not anything has changed. Please help us please stop filling the pockets of corporations that don't care if we live or die
