I make above average wage and still am being pushed out of the city away from my job in the city because of the unnecessary hikes in rent that are happening and these out of state rental companies. Rent control is the only way I will not be forced out of the city I love and know. Renters absolutely need more protection from malicious rental companies for profits, they do not care about their tenants. I've been discriminate against for having a housing voucher, and end up only able to afford and be approved for properties with terrible management and roaches.
