As a volunteer organizer in the community, I have met many people who are being treated unfairly by their landlords but have little recourse. Regulatory bodies should serve to ensure the health and safety of all people, which includes protecting tenants from being taken advantage of. I urge you to condition loan approval on tenant protections.
