    I am landscaper in SC where it is over 100 degrees and humid. I am also a tenant. I work all day in the heat and often come home to a hot home because our landlord has yet to provide an ac unit. I bought a window unit out of my own money for under $200 and put it in our bedroom. My family of 3 tries out best to just stay in the air conditioned room when we're home. Sometimes I don't understand how I'm playing $1250 for a two bedroom apartment andi can only use one room, cnt use the kitchen much for fear of heating house up even more and it's sad and depressing. Landlord should be responsible to take care of issues like this and tenants should have protections to not have to worry about retaliation. Tenants should be able to come together and organize and make suggestions for improvements and be heard. Limit rent hikes because I'm already paying too much money for what I live in.
