Renters Bill of Rights. Limit rent increases to 5% per year. Evictions may not be done for frivolous or reasons. Renters must have right of Justice of the Peace hearing in event of eviction notice, unless eviction is for non-payment of rent. Landlords must provide a basic level of timely maintenance within 24 hours, correct safety issues within 24 hours of notice, fix AC or heating issues within 36 hours of a report or provide alternate housing in a nearby safe & clean hotel at no additional cost.
