    As a concerned citizen, I know that housing rent is too high. And when rent is too high, people can't afford to spend money on other necessities, much less save for the future. It effects the entire economy. The federal government should require landlords who get federal money to agree to tenant protections like limiting rent hikes, banning evictions without good cause, and standardizing leases in over 12 million apartment units nationwide.

    These proposed tenant protections are a critical step toward holding greedy corporate landlords accountable.
