Landlords are parasites that extract wealth from tenants without providing any service besides being middlemen. We need protections for renters and tenants in the form of rent stabilization, mandatory heating and cooling in units to protect from the dangerous impact of climate change, and limitations on how much property landlords are allowed to hoard, with fines and increased taxes on vacant units and homes to reduce homelessness.
