Tenants deserve more protections from rapidly escalating rents and unjust evictions. Healthy communities are racially and economically diverse, not just communities for the wealthy. Without needed protections, tenants are forced to move into low income neighborhoods, thus increasing the number of already too pervasive economically and racially segregated neighborhoods.
