    I am a senior and a lifelong tenant. I prefer to pay rent and be a responsible tenant rather than owning my own home. I am a retired public school so I live on a pension and Social Security, and my income is not high. I rely on tenant protections to make sure that as I age I will not suddenly be uprooted. My apartment is my home. If for some reason, my tenant protections no longer made it possible for me to live in my home, I would not have any place to live. That is terrifying. Please implement meaningful tenant protections.
