Rental apartments are permanent homes, especially for seniors like I am. 100% of my social security goes to my landlord and that DOES NOT pay the entire rent! We are against confiscatory rent increases! We are also against arbitrary evictions! Typical Landlord: "Sure you pay well, but with you gone we can rehab your apartment (landlord won't do it for us) and bump up rent substantially for a new tenant with better finances." Hey !!! -- That apartment was MY HOME !!! Don't I have any rights here??
