Tenants should have protections from highly resourced corporate landlords, like nationwide rent control. Rent is rising while minimum wage stays stagnant. Having a place to live is a human right and should not only be for those that are in the middle class and above. Fewer corporate landlords would lead to more affordable housing and, potentially, homeowners.
