As a tax-paying citizen and homeowner, I am in full support of requiring landlords who get federal money to agree to tenant protections like limiting rent hikes, banning evictions without good cause, and standardizing leases in over 12 million apartment units nationwide. Our growing homeless population and rising rental property evictions are directly connected to unaffordable housing as a result of greedy corporate landlords who are raising rents to exorbitant levels. This MUST stop!
