I live off Dorchester Road and the conditions have never been great. I pay rent and utilities but often go to a friend's house during the hot parts of the day bc of bad AC, air flow and humidity in my house. We need a rental cap for federally backed properties and it's time that landlords be accountable for providing a Safe, quality, accessible housing standard. If they get federal funds the least they can do is commit to keeping their properties in good condition, and to ensure homes are accessible for people with disabilities. No renter should have to live in an inaccessible home or in housing conditions that put their health and safety at risk.
