I've been a tenant in so many cities in SC. During the pandemic, I had an eviction on my record bc I couldn't pay rent. Its made it difficult to find a place so now I just live my girlfriend. I don't know how long this eviction is even going to effect me. Will I ever be able to rent again. We live in a federally backed property. We want tenant protections and for rent to cover a Safe, quality, accessible housing standard that Require all landlords to keep their properties in good condition, and to ensure homes are accessible for people with disabilities. No renter should have to live in an inaccessible home or in housing conditions that put their health and safety at risk.
