    I've lived in this neighborhood for 15 years. When the current landlord, Schweb Partners LLC purchase these buildings we saw a dramatic change. Things have progressively gotten worse over the last 2 years. There is always trash in the hallways and parking lots, windows broken in the building, front doors that don't work. Last winter we watched 2 buildings have pipes burst and the tenants were displaced in the middle of the winter, the landlord was no where to be found, we had to go to court to get them to do the right thing.
    It wasn't like this before, before they bought this whole block, it felt like a neighborhood it felt good to live here. Now no one wants to stay here. We can't move because they have bought so many buildings and they are all the same. You need to make three times the rent to qualify, who makes 6000 a month???????
    The rent is too dam high and the quality of units too dam poor. The government needs to do something. The FHFA should start by implementing rent control and other tenant protections.
