My name is James. I was evicted last year from St James Place in Lexington KY. I had to go to the hospital for two and a half months and was evicted because I couldn’t afford the rent while I was injured. I’ve been homeless for a year now. I wish when I got sick I would have still be able to keep my home. Why would they evict me when they knew I couldn’t work? We need more tenant protections like good cause and right to counsel . I shouldn’t be homeless today.
