I have experienced rushing to find a place that not only meets the requirements of bedrooms but is SAFE and AFFORDABLE. Multiple websites searched, multiple tours that never match the pictures, and rentals that may or may not even be real. All to know with everything changing and by the time I unpack my last box, I will have to do it again in a few months. Unstable housing creates and anxiety that permeates every day life. People deserve to live in places for many years on end, to create community with the neighbors around them and feel comfortable, not to fall victim to changing circumstances. I would like to see Rent Control and Good Cause Eviction in order to protect people moving forward. People deserve a place to live at a set rate and to afford to live!
