    I would say "please decommodify housing", but I know whichever government worker is reading this probably rolled their eyes immediately at that, so let's focus on a couple more realistic things:

    1. We need nationwide rent control. By raising rent at a whim, landlords have the power to ruin tenant lives and make them houseless at the drop of a hat. This ain't right. Rent prices need to be brought under control and any increase must only be able to happen under a tightly-controlled set of circumstances that favors the tenant over the landlord.

    2. Likewise, eviction should only be allowed with good cause, and tenants should be guaranteed legal representation in eviction court. Landlords have far too much power to throw tenants out at present, especially in retaliation for anything from organizing themselves to resisting landlord's sexual harassment. This cannot continue.
