My name is Wes Benson, I'm a renter in Kansas City MO and I've got a lot of friends who live in Kansas City who are struggling to pay their rent just like I am. I worry that my friends and I might have to relocate outside of the city because we can't continue to afford the rising cost of living here. As a Kanas City Native this isn't right and shouldn't continue. In addition to strong oversight and caps on rent increases there should also be mandates in place for landlords to maintain habitable housing who are giving them most of their paycheck!
