Even with the dollar every year of min wage going up the cost of living is steady going up too. It's impossible for people to make rent. that doesn't include food. I couldn't get food stamps because I have a felony. Even during the pandemic they couldn't throw me anything. I was working prior or after. I make $14 and hour and I get paid every two weeks. That's my rent money. It's insane. I think the cost of living needs to be lowered if our rent is going to keep going up. I can barely make it. My lady is a type 1 diabetic. She can't even work, so it's all me. It's hard to provide for 3 people
