    Dear Director Thompson,
    I've been living at an FHFA- backed property in Louisville for 4 years. The rent has been raised multiple times since the pandemic. This is on top of no maintenance care or property upgrades even with all the rent increases. This price gouging isn't fair. It's almost impossible to maintain our homes and living arrangements even for a 2-income household. We've had two different property managers the last 2 years who can't take care of requests in a timely manner. Since the pandemic has been declared over, there is no rental assistance or maintenance care either. Why isn't this available post pandemic if the conditions we live in haven't changed and have even worsened with all the price increases? Director Thompson, we want rent control and good cause eviction. We shouldn't have to choose between medication and rent. We should not have to worry about when the next rent hike is going to get us kicked out of our homes. We deserve to live in dignity. Please do the right thing.
