I have experienced rent prices being hijacked annually. I have been pressured to move places because of the rent being hijacked too much. My current landlord raised my rent by $320 after just living at my place for one year. I decided to accept and sign another lease but it feels completely unreasonable how it could increase in price by that much. This is the main challenge of being a renter in need of affordable housing.
