    As a Nevada tenant that was evicted during the pandemic, not for lack of paying rent but because my landlord wanted to capitalize on the market explosion and sell the house. I want our government to advocate for us and ensure we have protections that won’t leave us homeless in the middle of a global pandemic. After my eviction, I spent all my savings trying to keep my family afloat and sheltered in a one bedroom airbnb and apply for numerous apartments. The application fees and admin/moving fees quickly drained me while none of that money was given back to me if my application was rejected. It’s time to ensure that fees are this excessive while landlords take advantage of many of us as tenants.
