Here in NV, evictions have greatly increased compared to pre-pandemic numbers. Rent is continually rising, but our wages are not rising at the same rate. The federal government has a duty to do all it can to protect its citizens and residents, including providing rent protections. Having a safe and stable home where they don’t have to worry about affording rent will allow people to focus on other pressing issues they may be facing. Establish rent protections now!
