Westside Community Organization represents a powerful voice of tenants who are witnessing first hand the injustices of displacement from profit driven rent increases and predatory development. We want to see bold government action at the federal level in the form of tenant protections including just cause eviction, rent stabilisation and right to organise to keep St Paul home for low-wealth, immigrant and BIPOC families. Through its lending Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have powerful leverage to reign in bad actors and to provide stability for thousands of renters here on the Westside and throughout the nation.
