I have experienced a rent increase from $1350 to $1875 in the last two years. This is also in conjunction with leaking pipes in a town house that was not resolved and a leaking pipe in the current apartment I am in not being addressed. With multiple increases in rent and the rising cost of living not only is it almost impossible to afford groceries, gas, and other things to survive; the landlords or companies raising prices on rent refuse to uphold their duties by making sure these places are livable and safe. No one is holding them accountable and they are in large numbers raping those who don’t and cannot afford to own their own place. We need help!
