These protections could include rent caps/rent stabilization, rules on evictions, housing safety requirements, bans on discrimination, and more. If enacted by FHFA, these federal protections could benefit over 12.4 million rental homes across the country. This includes some Florida properties despite the 2023 state sponsored Live Local Act that banned rent caps/stabilization. We want people to stay in the homes and in the streets.
