I have been a tenant since I was 18. The last few years paying rent has gotten harder and harder regardless of how hard I work. I should be able to fully live my life but instead , I ‘m stuck working doubles. The 2years I have begun to help pay my mothers rent. No one should worry about being homeless, my mom is sick and things would be so much worse if she had to deal with being homeless on top of it.
I’ve been watching the Homes Guarantee Campaign and they are right! We need rent control! If my rent or my mothers rent goes any higher I know I will be homeless. We need a cap on rent especially for federally backed loans.
