    As of today, I'm trying to get myself together. I just received keys for housing after being homeless f (with my kids) for 4 years! Everything is harder when you are homeless, not many people can do that under my circumstances. Housing resources need to be more available, and people should have the freedom to come together as a whole to organize to build our lives. In looking for housing, I had to overcome a lot of things including housing discrimination. Not having resources or tenant protections really left me homeless. Right before I was homeless, I was staying in a home but the landlord was not legit. I moved in, and was paying rent to someone who wasn't even the owner or landlord. The property was foreclosed, but I didn't know that. I didn't have any resources to fix my situation, and my "landlord" wasn't answering his phone. People manipulate people who are trying to go to work, take care of their home, and everything. I needed more protection, we deserve better.
