The restructuring and/or loan modification processes are game-y. Fill out form and suddenly need this information and then redo form with needed information only to then need another type of information;all the while the repeated application states that no information required to apply for modification. Get response that we do not qualify without explanation as to what actually disqualified us. So then restructuring comes and uploading documents are not found only to send again with old upload attached to same email address and viola' both sets make it to person. Every call one has to re-explain only to have someone tell you to change your irritated tone! They do not take noyes well. One constantly gets a different 'agent' and direction to talk with this department and another department without a direct line and a dedicated agent. Filing each time requires one upload documents already sent and acknowledged and that causes another game of changing application date and process Ll over again! The difficulty sure seems intentional and one is so upset from the game, I believe they want you to give up so they kick you out and sell your home! My husband worked in a service field that required one to enter single family homes so Covid-19 caused us to be unable to pay mortgage on time or not at all so as to eat, keep the lights, water, a/c or heat on! My husband N ds employer paid up vacation and sick leave for awhile but then nothing! Paying your mortgage late or partially did not stop foreclosure threats and mortgage holder/(Freddie Fannie) processor did not offer modification until it was disqualifying for us and they would direct us to restructuring which may possibly save us 100.00 a month! Not much to help us afford our mortgage! My husband had to change jobs where there would be outside work and hourly rate (his last decade+ job was commission only) and pray for overtime. I use dto try and work a parttime job - 8 to 10 hrs per wk - but I have been disabled for decade+ and can no longer help that tiny bit. Doctors told me I have to stop trying. We are juggling home association fees with water and electric. Food prices are not going down though it may seem that way but the manufacturers have reduced the size of every item they could sneak in on us so we have to pay more for less. The war doesn't help on bread, noodles, etc. and without shortages we had manufacturers and producers raising prices anyway. They jumped on the inflation of certain products when there was no supply chain issues. Their products were in North and South America. The fuel costs were not equal to the price hikes. So, we have a mortgage restructuring of 100.00 but have to pay higher prices on everything. That small adjustment is no where equal to our fuel costs; our utilities; our Medical bills and Insurance - how is that applicable to inflation - and on and on! As usual our Medicare rises to eat that big cost of living raise and the insulin we need was changed to a different tear so that we didn't qualify for the 35.00 dollar limits. We are being priced out of our home! All of the inflation reduction act funds are not helping the individual families. The Freddie/Fannie modification/restructuring is a game that many give up on and those who fought through the games saved very little. We still haven't been notified if we will save 100.00 as they made sure to tell us in big fonts that the savings is not guaranteed! This is making so many lose while the rich and wealthy gain! If I lose my husband -death or disability- I and he and my disabled sister will lose our pets, our home and will end up in a shabby apartment that has rent equal to the cost of our mortgage and you bet(!) the landlord will be fighting against maintenance that makes an apartment livable! This is the United Corporations of America. WE THE PEOPLE ARE SUFFERING AND ALL BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT COULD CARE LESS! We won't join in if we live long enough to see the people rise up against Crony Capitalism but don't be surprised. I hope we live long enough and keep our home but it is dire out here!
