We strongly support attaching robust renter protections to publicly funded assistance to landlords. The cost of living is exploded across the country due in large part to predatory landlords who use the fear of homelessness to demand usurious rents. Working class and poor people have to jump through all kinds of hoops to get public assistance. Why should landlords be different?
