I was a tenant all my life. I couldn't take it anymore. Landlords were about greed and it was rare to find those that cared about anything but the rent. So I bought my own home and now I'm a landlord committed to keeping people in their homes. I don't charge more rent. I am still building equity. I'm not making money hand over fist but I do know that my tenants deserve more when they pay about 33 percent of their wages to me. Please pass more tenant protections. As a landlord, I know we will be all right.
