I’m 31 years old and a single mother. I have had to move three times in the span of a single year due to rent hikes and non renewal. Moving is a life event and it’s incredibly hard and stressful. The fact that I have done so three times because landlords want to raise my rent because more affluent folks are moving to the neighborhood is harmful. For my son it means he now has issues with attachment and is consistently worried that we will have to move again. He’s only 6 years old. I need you to support every day citizens and TENANTS. Because we keep the economy running and if we are going to keep making the government money by providing our labor, then we need stability. Invest in us.
