Voucher recipients face discrimination, incomplete information, and sometimes lies from potential landlords. I have had a lot of difficulty finding housing because of this, often the landlord says they accept the voucher, but still expect income to be 2-3x rent. Landlords think that people with vouchers will be unreliable or will damage the property, we are looked at as second-hand citizens. I would like the FHFA to enforce and expand existing protections against discrimination, as well as limiting rent hikes! Rent is too high!
