    I support the initiative to only grant government-backed loans to landlords who have a proven record of upholding tenants’ rights. The government shouldn’t pay landlords to do rapacious rent hikes, rampant evictions, and discriminatory leasing practices. Instead, the government should only financially support landlords who offer safe, fair, and reasonably priced housing.
