My name is Sewit Sium and I live in a “rent stabilized” building it Brooklyn New York. Out landlord has received one of these no string attached loans and had used the money to do renovations using cheap materials that were worst than what we previously had. They ran this common NY scam to raise value of each apartment to push out out. Scam after scam my neighbors are being pushed out and rent stabilized rents “restructured”. HCDR is investigating them but to no avail, these things can’t be fixed on the back end. Poor Black people made New York cool and now they’re being pushed out!
